Liguria, a surprising region

6 Nights

Discover Liguria

Between the blue of the sea and the green of the hills, Liguria is a place where beauty reveals itself step by step. Here, time seems to slow down: pastel-colored villages overlook the sea, the scent of basil and the sea breeze mingle in the air, and every path offers breathtaking views.
From the Cinque Terre to Portofino, from Camogli to Sestri Levante, each stop is a little world to explore, full of traditions, flavors, and genuine hospitality.
Liguria is the perfect destination for those seeking authenticity, nature, and freedom — a journey through sea, mountains, and the Italian heart.

Program

Arrival in Genoa Arrival at Genoa Airport, meet your assistant, and enjoy a private transfer to your hotel in the city center. In the afternoon, take a walking tour through the city’s historic artisan shops — many of them over a century old — where you’ll discover traditional Ligurian specialties while admiring the architectural treasures of Europe’s largest historic center. Visit local pasta workshops and bakeries producing the famous focaccia and pandolce genovese. Stroll through the narrow carruggi (alleys) and stop at the historic Romanengo confectionery, founded in 1780. Enjoy a tasting of panera, a typical semifreddo made with cream and coffee. Continue along Via Garibaldi, lined with UNESCO-listed Renaissance palaces (Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Rosso, and Palazzo Tursi), and admire the exteriors of Palazzo Ducale, Christopher Columbus’ House, and the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. End the day with a welcome dinner at a restaurant in the Old Port. Return to the hotel on foot and overnight stay.
Full-Day Excursion to Rapallo and Portofino Transfer by minivan with your guide for a full-day excursion between Rapallo and Portofino. In Rapallo, visit a traditional workshop for a Foody Tour: enjoy a welcome aperitif with focaccia, take part in the preparation of authentic Genoese pesto using mortar and pestle, and taste local specialties such as focaccia al formaggio, handmade pasta, artisanal gelato, and aged balsamic vinegars. Continue on to Portofino for a visit to its famous piazzetta, the heart of this elegant seaside village. Return to Genoa in the late afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay.
Panoramic Hike in the Parco delle Mura Private transfer to Forte Sperone, the starting point of a scenic hike through the Parco delle Mura (Walls Park). Walk along the Mura Nuove, built in the 1600s — the longest city walls in the world after the Great Wall of China. The round-trip itinerary (3–4 hours) includes stops at Forte Puin and Forte Diamante, where you’ll enjoy a picnic-style lunch box with panoramic views. Return to Genoa in the afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay.
Discovering Boccadasse and the Heart of Genoa Visit the charming fishing village of Boccadasse, with its colorful houses perched dramatically above the sea. Continue to Spianata Castelletto, a panoramic terrace offering breathtaking views over the city and harbor. Descend to the city center via the elegant Liberty-style elevator. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, visit the Diocesan Museum, home to the Blue Veils of the Passion — remarkable linen cloths considered precursors of modern denim fabric. End the day with dinner at a historic wine restaurant in Piazza San Matteo. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Excursion to Dolceacqua, Apricale, and Sanremo Transfer to Dolceacqua, a medieval village featuring the Doria Castle and the famous bridge immortalized by Monet. Enjoy a tasting of Rossese DOC wine and local specialties at a regional winery. Continue to Apricale, a charming hilltop village with a picturesque piazza and scattered art installations.
